The 2015 Loft Project in Chicago, Illinois will transform an industrial space into a feminine apartment for Carly Bradburn, a fashion blogger in her early 30s.  This transitional, industrial-chic, open-plan residence will feature an achromatic color scheme in various values of grey that will envelope the walls and flooring, and provide a calming feeling, while accents in an analogous scheme of blue, violet, and red will add drama and grandeur to the home. The entry space will lead directly into the dining and kitchen area where an eye-catching metal and glass dining table surrounded by deep-red, plush chairs will add emphasis to the space and complement the kitchen appliances and backsplash. Deep blue cabinets will contrast against white, silver-flecked countertops and add interest to the area. Immediately adjacent will be an office alcove showcasing a metallic and glass shelf, cabinet, and desk, coordinated with a metallic and grey velvet office chair resting on an ethereal, silvery area rug. Directly across from this working space will be a living room featuring a lush, vivid-blue Chesterfield sectional adorned in red, blue, and white patterned pillows facing a metallic television easel that will accentuate the stream-lined, rectilinear occasional tables. Artwork and shelving will line the walls, introducing visual variety to the structural surfaces. Between the living and bedroom areas will be a bathroom showcasing warm-grey cabinetry crowned with countertops and tile in a clean-white palette. The lighting, mirror, and hardware accents will all be in a gleaming silver to evoke a feeling of modern luxury. Further down the hall will be the master bedroom adorned with a mirror furniture suite to add to the glamour of the space. A chaise lounge in a rich violet velvet will be exhibited in the corner  of the space, making use of the natural light that will stream through the ceiling-high windows. The queen-sized bed will be draped in a shimmery, silvery-grey duvet embellished with red accent pillows, and flanked by a sumptuous light-grey bench that will all sit atop an opulent blue area rug. Just beyond this room, hidden from the view of any visiting guests, will be the laundry and utility area. Throughout all of the interior spaces, lighting in exquisite glasswork will add to the glamorous feeling and unify the apartment as a whole.
